The End and The Beginning

Friday was my last official day. I had no students and I was at school for about 2 hours while I finished packing up my things and turned in the last bit of paperwork. It feels strange to be done. I would much rather have finished this year with it being my choice. But, I am very excited to be home!

Today Julia began moving! She crawled/scooted along the ground to get to Micah's cell phone. For some reason, she'll do anything to get to our cell phones, but that same effort is not put into getting other objects. After she went to bed, I started reflecting. I feel like this time has flown by. In some ways I feel like she grew up without me and here's why: Since the beginning of January, I have had very limited time with Julia. For the month of May, she woke up just before I went to work, but for most of the time I only saw her in the evenings. She goes to bed so early that I hardly saw her during the week. For Monday - Friday I only spent about 3 hours a day with her. I am so glad that I no longer have to work and spend so much time away from my little one! I'm looking forward to a summer of cuddling :)
