Crazy Things a Happenin'

Here are just a couple of the crazy things that are happening:

1) The weather! On Tuesday it was a record breaking 76 degrees. It broke the record of 73 degrees set back in 1942. Yesterday it was in the upper 60's and today it was in the upper 20's! I've heard people in both Dayton and St. Louis say, "If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes." implying that the weather changes rapidly and often. If you want to live in a place where the weather really does change rapidly and often, you need to live here. Not only did the temperature drop 40 degrees in a day, this summer had frequent weather changes and sudden storms.
Oh, and before anyone starts going on about global warming, let's remember that in the mountains there was 2 feet of snow in one day.

2) Our cats! There was nothing on the other day and we ended up watching a PBS special on eagles. The cats spent the entire hour watching the show with us. Actually starring at the TV and following the birds back and forth. At the end of the show, the cats began to walk away from the TV but kept turning back to see if the eagles were going to come back.

3) My students! Some of my seniors started asking about Micah. They wanted to know his name, what he did, etc, etc. I decided it would be more fun to give vague answers, and it was! It is hillarious to listen to them start guessing and the things that they come up with. At one point they thought I was married to Barak Obama! I have no idea how they came up with that. Here is what they decided on today: I am married to a 23 year old business man named Pepe whose job is to make pizza in a cubicle and drives a purple Cadillac. They are so funny!
