Some people have asked me how it has been going since I last posted, so . . .
Overall things have been going good. We only had 3 days of students last week because we had parent teacher conferences on all day on Thursday. That was a really long day, but I had some great conferences with parents. I only had one that did not go so well as a dad was leaning way across the little desk I was sitting at and getting in my face. Then he started attacking me about how his son was doing and why I didn't question every decision his 18 year-old-son made. (As if I did not have 28 other students in the class and why can't he ask his own son those questions? My seniors are at the point where they need to put in the effort and I don't baby them. If they want the credit and a certain grade, by now they know what to do to get it.) But besides that meeting, they all were great and we got some plans started working to help them succeed.
If I get any good stories, I will share them with you.
