I've been very busy and haven't had time to update on a lot of things. My parents are coming in town tonight for a week and then school starts. Since I don't know when I will be able to update after this, I figured I should let you all know what is going on.
First, the house. We had a plumber in about 2 weeks ago because of a leak under the sink. It turns out that it was only a cracked nut and broken garbage disposal. So much less than it could have been! All is now fixed and in good working order.
We thought the hole in the backyard was vacant after talking with our neighbor. But, I woke up one morning and saw the two logs that were sitting inside the hole next to it on the lawn! I freaked out and called Micah to find out if he moved them. (Some of you may have remembered me posting this on FB) He didnt and we replaced them, not only in the hole, but in the tunnel to see if it would happen again. It did a week later. This time we saw them move. We had a crazy rain storm where it poured - literally, no exageration here - for over 2 hours complete with hail. All that rain filled the hole and the logs floated to the top. We then remembered it had rained the night before the first time the logs moved. No creature for sure lives in there!
I made curtains this summer for the office and converted an old pillow case into a small curtain for the kitchen. My friend Sarah was amazing and let me borrow her sewing machine for it. When I get a picture taken, I'll post it so you can see my handy work.
About 2 1/2 weeks ago I started getting really dizzy. Everything I did, it felt like anyway, I got dizzy. I stopped wearing my glasses and that helped a little. I think after two years of anything but gentle use they are finally off enough that they got knocked out of place and only agrivated things. After seeing my eye doctor (who said it shouldn't be caused by my glasses/contacts but they may be agrivating it), and seeing my regular doctor (who said I have vertigo and sent me to a physical therapist to get the crystals inside my ear put back in place. That's exactly what she said. I didn't make that up.), the physical therapist said it is related to my muscle spasms! At least it's nothing new.
After about 45 minutes of doing random tests, some of which quite odd, and answering questions she came to that conclusion. She then proceded to give me a head massage and stretched out my muscles in my neck and back. At the end she said, "I'm going to want to see you once a week." And in my head I thought, "YAY! Massages every week!!" My head felt so wonderful after that appointment, I cannot wait until my next one. I now have stretching exercises I am to do at home and I am not supposed to look down too much. Any reading I do, I should hold it up to my face. That will be really hard once I have to start grading. Hopefully those orders will be lifted by then.
That's all I can think of right now. I go back to meetings on the 13th and the students arrive on the 18th. My life will be really busy for the next couple of weeks.

Aren't PTs great? :)
For the grading, see if it's okay if you lie down on your stomach on the floor and grade. That should be pretty close to having the work in front of your face. It might not be the most comfortable thing, but it's better than passing out! LOL
