At the end of September, we took a trip into the mountains to see the fall colors. Julia wasn't very excited about the trip at the beginning. Here she is at the Starbucks in Idaho Springs.
We made our way to Frisco and stopped for a chilly picnic lunch. Julia cheered up after eating. She then began talking about going to the top of a mountain. We spent the rest of the afternoon in Frisco. We walked through a beautiful flower garden with a fountain that was just outside the post office. Our next stop was to take a walk down the marina. And, yes, that is Ari walking down the marina with us.
This is the bike rack at the marina.
We turned our back for just a second and the fish swallowed Julia! Thankfully she was able to make her way out safely.
The marina also had a playground. They had a slide that was shaped like a boat and swings, Julia's favorite.
This is the view I want when I visit the local farmer's market.
The wind made it a bit chilly and Julia wanted a snack. We headed back towards town and found Abbey's Coffee. The dog in their logo is a gray goldendoodle, just like Ari. They are dog friendly and Ari was a bigger hit inside the coffee shop than Mariella, who was about 6 weeks old at the time. They had good coffee and were so nice. We'll go back the next time we're out that way and highly recommend them.

The view from the top of the mountain (the pass) on our way home. Julia was excited to know that she got to be at the top of the mountain.
